Eigjht US soldiers and 7 Afghan fighters have been killed in fighting in Eastern Afghanistan. The battle occured on Oct 3rd as US forces were preparing to leave the base where they were stationed.

The attack by Taliban and al Qaeda fighters was a well coordinated attack and the fightin lasted for several hours. The attackers were finally shut down by US air power along with Artillery. The lesder of the attackers was Taliban commander Dost Mohammed. The Taliban were assisted by al Qaeda's shadow army. Fourteen Afghan policemen were captured during the attack and their whearabouts are still unknown.

It is always unfortunate for me to have to talk about US casualties but the truth must be told. I want you to check this out. No number was given for enemy casualties. I believe that if we started to tell the number of deaths that we are actually inflicting the entire Arab world would be in an uproar. I don't mean anything negative about this, I'm just saying what I believe to be the truth. I may very well be wrong but I don't think that I am.
