  1. "The Wall" is a movie which tells the story of memorabilia which has been left at the Vietnam Veteran's memorial in Washington DC. I was deeply touched as I watched the movie. I think that it was one of the best movies that I have ever seen. We may see an object which means absolutely nothing to us but that same object may be another man's treasure.

The wall tells the story of a homemade pencil holder, an electric guitar, and a badge. It is expertly woven together and it really made me gain a deep appreciation of the significance that objects have to us. Then I got the great idea to use it as a post for this blog.

It dawned on me that this is the same significance of creating a military memorial ring. The military ring can contain a lifetime of memories on one small metal object. Each individual design that you choose can have a whole world of different meanings. What may bring back memories to you may bring back memories to someone else that are totally different. Each object that you see placed at the foot of the wall is important to someone. So will every bit of information that you place on your military ring.

Whether you create a Vietnam Veteran's memorial ring, a retirement ring, or a service ring, you can use the ring to tell the story of your time in service. Many people choose to design their custom military ring for an heirloom. This is the reason that I designed mine. I only wear it on special occasions, and I intend to pass it on to my grandson when I die.
