The Army has reorganized recently in order to meet the requirements of the war on terror. This is good because when they train together all of the time they learn how to operate together. Its better to make training mistakes in training then in combat. This should also give the commander of that task force a better understanding of how the people who in previous years had been attached to him can help him.

I know that when I was a Field Artillery Fire Support Officer I was attached to an Armored Task Force, as an Artilleryman I had to learn how the armor operates so that I could better support them. There was a learning curve involved because prior to that time we had never trained together. Once we each learned how the other operated we really did well. We were able to defeat the OPPFOR at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin California.
