The Department of the Army is one of three service departments of the Department of Defense. It was founded in 1789 as the US Department of War and was renamed in 1947.

Many of my military ring customers who want to represent the Department of the Army will choose the Army Seal as a side panel design, or a laser vue design, or both. This design is one of many choices that we have available for you. Whether you choose it or not depends on your own personal preference. It is a classic no nonsense design that goes well with just about any other design that you may choose. This design is very popular. Probably more so with older customers. It is al all encompassing design and is good for the person who has done just about everything that he or she can do as far as the military is concerned.
