  1. China has criticized the United State's new Asian-focused defense strategy, saying its accusations of a lack of openness in Beijing's military policy were "groundless and untrustworthy." Now if you believe this I have a thousand acres of good land that I want to sell you. It's located in the middle of the swamp but it's really an oasis, OK.

Forget the Chinese and everyone that knows them. The strategy unveiled Thursday shifts the U.S. military focus away from Iraq and Afghanistan and makes a renewed commitment to assert America's position in the Asia-Pacific region. The US wouldn't have to do this if the Chinese hadn't been bullying all of the smaller countries in the area and hogging their natural resources.

The document says the growth of China's military power must be accompanied by greater clarity in its strategic intentions to avoid causing friction in the region. They have began to openly harrass the military forces of other countries, particularily by using their Air Force to intimidate other pilots during routine exercises.

China claims that it is committed to developing weapons for a defensive policy. This sounds well and good except that they are continuing to develop offensive weapons which are designed more to deny US interdiction in the area and defeat our forces more than anything else.

I predict thet there will come a time that our military ring customers in the Navy will have to face down Chinese threats because their intentions are obvious.
