A beyond visual range missile is normally a missile which has a range of 20 nautical miles or more which is also guided to its target by some means of homing system which may be active or passive or a combination of both.

The beyond visual range missile is normally an air to air missile but not necessarily so. Some of these missiles may have to by guided by an operator for part of its flight but will eventually find the target and fly to intercept it. These missiles are a testament to the wonders of modern technology and why it is always evolving to adapt to improvements and changes.

The advent of this weapon caused new technology to be developed to defeat it, which in turn causes newer technology to overcome and so on and so on. Military training for our custom military ring customers has to adapt and change also in order to fully integrate these new weapons into our armed forces.
