  1. The USMC is using its Assault Breecher Vehicles to help clear mines and IEDs in afghanistan during the offensive on Marjah. The problem is that the Taliban has left as many mines, booby traps, and IEDs as they possibly could set up before retreating in anticipation of the upcoming offensive. The mines aren't doing much good because our marine corps ring customers have the answer to take them out.

The Mine Breachers are the answer that our marine corps ring customers have for them. Each breecher weighs over 72 tons and carries 7,000 pounds of explosives which is in the form of a mine clearing rope.

The breechers can clear mines one of two ways. they can use the large plow to clear a path through the minefield or they can fire an explosive rope. When the rope is fired it goes out about 150 meters and detonates on the ground to set off any mines close to it. The breecher makes quick work of the danger to allow our troops to pass through. If I were an enemy soldier I would certainly be disheartened by this quick way that our USMC ring troops can dispose of all of the hard work of emplacing minefields.

The enemy minefields are totally ineffective against this new techonology.
