  1. USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51)The USS Wayne E Meyer is set to be commissioned soon. This ship is the Navy's latest Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer DDG 108.

The thing about the Arleigh Burke class of destroyers is that they are equipped with the Aegis weapons system. System is the right word for the Aegis. This destroyer is named after the man who led in the implementation of this system. I have made several posts about this system before but remember this: When the Navy needed to shoot down a satellite tumbling to the earth they used the Aegis. Not only did they hit the target they had to hit it in the gas tank!! The Wane E Meyer will be able to fight simultaneous battles on the sea, under the sea, and against aircraft all at the same time!! Nuff said.

The Navy is making it almost impossible to keep up with our custom Navy ring designs. Naval technology is evolving so rapidly that it is just about all we can do to stay abreast. We can do just about every Navy ring design such as the Chief Petty Officers ring, or a Navy SEAL ring, but they are making us work really hard to keep up.
