The AGM-130 missile is an air to ground missile designed specifically for long range use. An air to ground missile is a missile fired from an air plane against a target on the ground.

This missile can be guided to it's target by an operator, or it can be programmed to fly to its intended target on its own. The reason that it has such a long range is that it has a rocket engine which boosts it to it's target. This missile is so accurate because it uses GPS to guide it to the target. It also uses an inertial navigation system which uses computers and motion sensors to continuously calculate and redirect the movement of the missile to its intended target.
