  1. 24thThe 24th Infantry Regiment was organized in Nov 1869 as a "Buffalo Soldier" regiment. The 24th initially saw duty in the old west where they served as a sort of police force and protected settlers from the indians and from outlaws. They performed these duties until 1898.

The 24th saw action as a segregated unit in the Spanish American War, the Phillippine American War, as a sort of police force for the US during the Mexican Revolution, WWII, and the Korean Conflict.

The official history of the 24th regiment during the Korean War is not good. According to history the 24th broke and ran during battles and were cowardly throughout the war. Now if that is true my question would be this. Why were they left in continuous combat during the entire war? I know that if I were in charge and a unit was worthless I would disband it and have it removed from action as quickly as possible before it caused other problems. I'm sorry but since this is my site that I use my money to pay for I can say what I want. I believe that in this case history is a lie.

You can be sure that the correct story of your service is told because you tell it with the custom design work that you put on your military ring. Once it has been created it will tell the story of your service as long as it exists.
